Mompreneur Summit: Building with Purpose
Mompreneur Summit: Building with Purpose
There was a powerful theme woven throughout the keynote and panel discussions at the Mompreneur Summit: as mothers, we are constantly evolving—and we are creating intentional moments for ourselves, our families, and our businesses.
"Are You Living the Life Your 5-Year-Old Self Dreamed About?"
Keynote speaker Hang Black, a proud immigrant who embodied true grit, shared a perspective that stuck with me.
"Are you living the life your 5-year-old self dreamed about?"
— Hang Black, Keynote Speaker
It's a simple question, but it cuts deep.
She shared that so often, we feel pressure to map out 20-year plans. But the reality is—life, especially motherhood, doesn't always follow a perfectly structured path. Instead, she encouraged us to focus on 3–5 year goals with plans that are tangible, flexible, and actually achievable.
Recalibrate: Define What Matters Most
Recalibration starts with honesty.
Security
What does security mean to you? For many, it's tied to money—but it's also about time, energy, and freedom. How much are you willing to invest into what you're building?
Significance
Are you doing work that genuinely makes you happy? Does your life feel aligned with your values?
Adventure and freedom go hand in hand, but everything comes with a cost. You have to "pick your poison." Every path requires sacrifice. The key is choosing the one that aligns with your purpose.
Reset & Refocus: Let Go and Lean In
Refocusing requires release.
Let Go of Judgment
Both from others and from yourself.
Stop Trying to Do Everything Alone
Outsource your needs where you can.
Take a Step Back and Ask
Where am I really with my goals?
Growth isn't just about learning—it's also about unlearning habits, beliefs, and expectations that no longer serve you.
And most importantly: Be yourself. Fully. Find access to the help you need. And when you're in a position to lift others up, do it.
The Reality of Motherhood: Guilt, Growth, and Intention
The panel discussions brought something incredibly real to the surface.
Mom guilt is real. But instead of letting it control us, we were encouraged to be intentional: be present when you're with your family, be focused when you're working on your goals.
Create structure through time blocking so you can prioritize your health, growth, and rest. Because doing it all doesn't mean doing it all at once.
Build Resilience and Take Ownership
One message came up again and again:
"If it's to be, it's up to me."
Mothers are constantly juggling responsibilities, and resilience becomes a necessity—not a choice.
Redefine Success
It's not just profit—it's impact. It's not just recognition—it's consistency and growth.
Seek Coaching & Mentorship
Not just for business, but for personal transformation.
Take the Leap: Growth Requires Action
You don't need to have it all figured out to begin.
Find Your Gift
And build on it.
Watch Others Take Risks
And give yourself permission to do the same.
Step Outside Your Comfort Zone
Show your nervous system what's possible.
Because confidence isn't something you wait for—it's something you build.
Smarter Work, Not Harder: How AI is Transforming Business
Another standout moment came from the "Smarter Work, Not Harder" panel, where our Marketing Director and Co-Founder, Kelly Jorg, joined an incredible group of AI leaders including Bree Whitehead, Nancy Burditt, and Noopur Gupta.
The conversation centered on a powerful shift happening right now: AI, automation, and smarter marketing systems are giving entrepreneurs their time back.
Instead of replacing creativity, AI is enhancing it—freeing up space for founders and teams to focus on what truly matters: building meaningful connections and delivering better experiences for their clients.
At Nalo Seed, we're seeing this transformation firsthand. By developing custom AI agents and tailored software solutions, we're able to:
Strategic Marketing
Create more thoughtful, strategic marketing plans.
Streamlined Workflows
Reduce manual tasks and free up your team's time.
High-Performing Websites
Launch at a pace that matches our clients' feedback.
Scaling with Intention
This approach isn't just about efficiency—it's about growing purposefully.
Our continued growth has been fueled by a commitment to staying ahead of the curve. Our Technical Director, Paul Jorg, is constantly researching and implementing the latest advancements—ensuring that our clients benefit from tools and systems that are not only current, but forward-thinking.
Create a Life That Nourishes You (and Others)
We also touched on deeper practices:
Self-regulation and emotional awareness
Manifestation rooted in belief and action
Surrounding yourself with like-minded people
This is about more than ambition. It's about building something that is profitable and purpose-driven, sustainable and human-centered, and nourishing for yourself and for others.
Entrepreneurship isn't just a career path—it can be a way to create freedom, model possibility for your family, and redefine what success looks like.
Mamas Are Powerful & Get Things Done
You can build a life that supports both you and your family. You can pursue purpose without abandoning presence. You can grow, evolve, and start again—as many times as you need.
So take a moment to ask yourself: Where do I need to reflect, refocus, and recalibrate right now? Because the life you want isn't built all at once—it's built intentionally, step by step.
Thanks to Pourter's Myrfe Cabansay for hosting such an awesome event and inviting Kelly to speak!
